Dementia & the Aging Brain 101

Back by popular demand!  SIMED Psychologist Bernie Marrero, PhD explores the wonderment and complexity of the human brain.  What defines normal aging of the brain?  What diseases and disorders affect the aging brain? We also discuss adaptive caregiving for a family member with dementia and look at ways to improve our cognitive function to become smarter as we age.  We all know someone dealing with dementia.  Those attending will have a better understanding of the dementia process, why certain behaviors are seen, and improve coping skills.
