At SIMEDHealth, our physicians are committed to advancing medical care and believe clinical research plays a vital role in improving how diseases are treated and managed. By serving as clinical trial investigators in a wide range of research studies, we apply our expertise to help shape the future of medicine. SIMEDHealth Research functions out of our Gainesville 4343 W. Newberry Road campus building, and for some trials is able to serve participants at our other locations.

Medical and pharmaceutical advances depend on the 5 to 7 million clinical trial volunteers each year. From anti-inflammatory medications used to relieve everyday pain to the most advanced cancer therapies, every approved treatment has undergone extensive clinical trial testing before becoming available to the public. Without volunteers, progress in healthcare would not be possible.

There is no cost to volunteer as a clinical trial participant. Each trial is unique, and eligibility requirements vary. If you qualify for a clinical trial, participation may include medical evaluations and testing, trial-related medications, and reimbursement for time, travel, or other trial-related expenses.
