SIMEDHealth Research conducts most clinical trials within our Gainesville Medical Center facility. Our physicians believe in the importance of supporting advancements in medicine. By acting as clinical trial investigators in various studies, we can apply our knowledge and skills to a cause. We hope it will lead to improvements in the treatments and management of many diseases.
 
Today's medical and pharmaceutical advances are possible because of the 5-7 million individuals who volunteer each year to participate in clinical trials. From the anti-inflammatory you take for a sore back to the latest cancer-fighting regimen, each of these drugs went through a series of strenuous testing and approval processes before being released to the general public. Without volunteers, medical advancements to fight diseases and ailments would not be possible. 
 
There is no cost for you to volunteer as a research participant. Each study is different. If you qualify to participate in one of our current studies, you may receive various medical testing, medications, and reimbursement for time and travel or other costs.
 
We are currently enrolling volunteers in the following trials:
  • Lung Cancer Screening
  • History of UTI (E.coli vaccine)
  • Flu vaccine for 65 and older
  • COPD
  • Asthma
  • Painful Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
